The City of San Francisco has just introduced a new program that will help SF homeowners add green improvements to their homes. The program, called “GreenFinanceSF”, allows homeowners to finance energy-saving projects by borrowing the funds from the City. Homeowners can use the funds to add insulation, solar power, new windows, furnaces and more. Once the funds are lent, the loan payments are added to the homeowner’s property tax bill.
