Looking back over the last decade is both beautiful and painful. It is such a wonder to witness your own growth and transformation, and also difficult to look at what it took to get here. But I am deeply grateful for the journey, and for the love and beauty that I have carefully cultivated in my life. My number one goal for the next decade is to take better and better care of myself – body, heart and mind – so that I may end the decade in an even stronger place than I begin it, and so that I may live and give from a cup that truly runneth over. I became a mother in 2008, and so the last decade has been largely about meeting and loving my two beautiful boys. They, in turn, introduced me to my true self, and I will forever be grateful that they entered my life. My second goal for this next decade is to raise them into men who are kind, integral, authentic, and who value themselves fiercely, love and give freely, and experience real connection and joy. I am also deeply grateful for my friends, old and new, who have seen me, supported me and been my cheerleaders and collaborators – in my personal growth, in my work, in making mischief, and in making music. I am excited to step into the next decade with you all by my side. The 20’s will be part mystery, part alchemy, part grit and determination, and part letting go. I plan to follow my joy and purpose without limiting myself to old beliefs about who I am or what I am worthy of contributing. And in so doing, continue to create a life truly worth living. May the new decade bring you joy, wonder and good health. Happy New Year! #2020 #happynewyear
